Rewind to last week:   Woody's injury is the result of a possible slip or fall in the pasture, causing the fractures in his neck.   He was receiving around the clock care from his owner, Kristy and other amazing folks who we call 'Team Woody".   The first few days were exhausting on all, including Woody.  He was so tired, he could barely stand on his own, but laying down for more than a brief period of time could be fatal.  When he would take supervised rests,  People Power and the help of the tractor had to be used to get Woody back on his feet again.  



On January 27th, an amazing high tech sling was delivered to the barn.  Besides Morven Park (Marion Dupont Scott Equine Center) Picturesqe Farm will be the only place in the state of VA that owns this sling.   A 'homemade' system was installed to support the sling. It's quite impressive!
